Welcome new and old paddlers to Spring and lots of paddling.
RIVER BANK EROSION.
We as a Club have been concerned about the severe erosion of the riverbank and have written a letter to Council with little effect(no money no responsibility). Jennifer, The Club President had a meeting with council,Sailing Club, Dept of Crown lands and Bill Nelson. We have been given permission to put in a submission to try and get a grant for a Sandy Beach. Council will support us but will not fund or do any work. The Sailing Club is working on this and will be working closely with them.
REPAIR TO DRAGONFLY.
The dragonfly has gone to hospital for repairs. The Calvin Hospital is looking after our boat nicely. It should be back on Friday hopefully. John and Warren are looking at the trailer as well.
A bouquet of flowers to Alison Byram for getting the website up and running and giving the information to Mark. It is looking good. Do not forget to put your name down on the paddling session lists. Still some issues, but only minor.
